As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for driving the accounting and compliance workflows of the Company’s global service operations and corporate function, utilizing both internal and external resources to build a strategic and high-level reporting and control structure.

In this role you will report to the Chief Financial Officer. To be successful you must possess strong problem solving skills, have an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, and be an agent of change, ultimately delivering meaningful outcomes for the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as all-inclusive owner for the Company’s month end accounting close and reporting process:
    • Ensure timely and accurate (US GAAP) impacts are recorded
    • Own general ledger activity, including direct involvement in legacy AML business and corporate business units
    • Manage and expand oversight of global business unit results and US GAAP accounting basis conversion
    • Lead reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations
    • Drive resulting reporting and comparison to prior periods and budget / forecast scenarios
    • Utilization of Oracle EPM Cloud tools to support expanded control and global standardization initiative across legacy and newly acquired business units
  • Own requisite external reporting deliverables, including monthly, quarterly and annual compliance submissions to lending group administrative agent
  • Act as liaison with external auditors and tax advisors as needed
  • Drive development of global intercompany transaction workflow and ongoing reconciliation process
  • Evaluate and expand global implementation of consistent accounting policies and practices
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for ongoing business and transaction specific considerations
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting, safeguarding of Company assets, appropriate segregation of duties and best financial practices
  • Work with global FP&A function to assist and oversee robust annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Coordinate with Shared Service function to monitor related accounts receivable / cash collection impacts, accounts payable / disbursement process and payroll workflows
  • Lead ongoing evaluation of accounting / ERP system utilization and future-state standardization as needed
  • Support prospective M&A diligence exercises and ultimately drive transaction close / residual ASC 805 acquisition accounting workflows
  • Increase organizational capability through mentorship, training and development of accounting personnel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accounting certification
  • 10 – 12 + years of experience in US GAAP reporting and technical accounting application within a general ledger environment
  • Experience in a global services organization
  • Comfort with end-to-end ownership of monthly close process, including utilization of standardized process workflows / timelines and internal controls
  • Ability to drive beyond debits / credits and into subsequent balance sheet, income statement and cash flow reporting
  • Experience collaborating with external accounting and tax firms to manage fiscal audit, tax provision and other compliance requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 + years of public accounting experience
  • Experience with standard finance / enterprise systems (i.e. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience with consolidation systems (i.e. Hyperion, BPC, etc.)

Normal Working Hours and Conditions:

Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.
