AML RightSource Expands Leadership Team with Appointment of Julie Smith to Chief Marketing Officer Role

AML RightSource, the leading provider of Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Know Your Customer (“KYC”), and Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”) compliance solutions, has named Julie Smith as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President. The need for this expanded role at AML RightSource was driven by outpaced corporate growth and the continued evolution of the company’s global services and technology-enabled compliance platform.As the leader of AML RightSource’s global marketing team, Smith will work across product lines to help drive go-to-market strategy and share the holistic AML RightSource platform message with an industry facing increasing complexity and ever-changing compliance challenges. Smith will report directly to AML RightSource President Tracy Mortenson.

Smith has over 15 years of experience as a marketing leader in financial services and compliance. Before joining AML RightSource, she most recently served as vice president of go-to-market strategy for Thomson Reuters. Prior to that role, Smith held senior positions leading marketing, strategic account and client management functions and boasts extensive experience across the full product lifecycle.

Smith received a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University, and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law. She is a member of the Minnesota Bar and serves as a local community board member.
